FAQ
What IndoorRiding.com is, how it works, and where its data comes from.
- What is IndoorRiding.com?
- IndoorRiding.com is a free tool to track your Zwift progress. Browse and filter every Zwift route, log the routes you've completed — by hand or imported automatically from Strava — tick off achievement badges, and see your totals in your preferred units. It's a personal logbook for your virtual riding and running.
- Do I need an account?
- No account is needed to browse routes and badges. To save your progress — completions, badges, and your unit preference — just create a free account (email + password, or Google).
- How do I track a route?
- Open any route and press Mark completed. Because you can ride the same route many times, each press logs a separate completion — so your history of, say, riding Volcano Circuit 50 times is preserved. You can optionally record the distance, elevation, duration, and notes for each ride, and remove or restore completions later.
- Can I import my rides from Strava?
- Yes. If your Zwift rides already sync to Strava, you can connect Strava from your dashboard. We read your “Virtual Ride” activities, match each one to a route by the Strava segment it covered, and log matched rides as completed automatically— new rides import on their own, and you can pull in older rides too. Anything we can't confidently match is listed for you to handle, and you can remove any wrong match from your recent activity at any time. This is an experimental feature. Strava limits how many people can connect to a new app, so it may occasionally be unavailable while we expand that limit — if connecting fails, please try again later.
- What's the difference between “routes completed” and “total completions”?
- Routes completedcounts distinct routes you've finished at least once (e.g. “1 / 350 routes”). Total completions counts every ride — so completing one route 50 times is 1 route completed but 50 total completions. Your dashboard shows both, plus distance and elevation ridden.
- What are badges?
- Badges are Zwift's achievements (e.g. route badges and challenge badges). On the Badges page you can mark each one earned, with the date recorded, and see your XP from both route badges and achievement badges.
- Can I switch between kilometers and miles?
- Yes. Use the KM / MI toggle in the header. It changes every distance and elevation across the app, and your choice is saved to your account.
- Where does the route and badge data come from?
- All route and badge information — including the route maps and elevation profiles — comes from Zwift Insider, used with the site owner's kind permission. Zwift Insider is the best resource for Zwift routes, events, and news; please visit and support them.
